Our vision is to develop a world class centre for the best education with the purpose of providing job opportunities and pave the way to higher studies.

Our department was introduced in the year 1999 under the scheme of Bharathiar University. BCOM is a bachelor’s level three year programme premeditated to prepare students to take on business roles in the ever changing global arena. During the academic year 2004 - 2005 it has been brought under autonomous status and the curriculum has been designed under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), which is affiliated to Bharathiar University. Later from the academic year 2018-2019 OBE (Outcome Based Education) based curriculum is followed in order to intensify the competence of the students. The department association Blizzard Com dynamically works for the betterment of the students to gain ample of knowledge and skills in the field of commerce. Advertising Management is offered as a Job oriented course in the department.

• “Commercial Senate” – Students’ Club has been incepted for the students, by the students and of the students.
• Triumphed overall sports trophy for the last three consecutive years. 
• Our students were awarded “Best Students” in various categories in the Campus. 
• Many of our students cleared several foundation courses and Inter level in CMA and CA  
• Our department keenly organizes extension activities in order to create awareness and linkage among general public.
• Signed handful of MOUs with institutions and companies
• Successful completion of B.Com course leads the students to the next most vital step in the ladder of education - M.Com, M.Com (C.A), MBA, MCS, MFC, MIB, CA, ICWA, ACS etc.
• It is a highly professional programme suitable for youngsters aspiring to become professionals such as Chartered Accountants, Cost and Works Accountants, Chartered Financial Analysts, Company Secretaries and Business managers.

• Department was incepted in the year 1999. Later additional section was introduced in the year 2012
• The Department released "Commerce Magazine " 
• Advertisement Management - Job Oriented Course has been introduced 
• Won Overall Sports Trophy for three consecutive years from 2018 - 2020 
• Won Overall Literacy Trophy of the college
• Our students won overall trophy in various Intercollege Meet.
• Extension activities in Government School, Tribal areas, Local Panchayats has been conducted in order to build strong relationship between Societies and students.
