Student Induction Programme – 2019

       In pursuance of instructions issued by University Grants Commission (UGC), Kongunadu Arts and Science College (Autonomous) conducted a six days Student Induction Programme (SIP) for first year under graduate students from 19/06/2019 to 26/06/2019.  The main objective of this programme was to acclimatize the students to the college environment and get them familiar with culture. The induction programme comprised of various activities like talk on human values, familiarization with department, lecture on art of mind control, skill development, yoga and meditation, introduction and functioning of various clubs, talk on role of students in the society and universal brotherhood, discussion about health is wealth and cyber crime security, stress management, lab tour and sports activities. On 19/06/2019 SIP was inaugurated by Swami Harivarananda Mahraj, Secretary, Sree Ramakrishna Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.

       Dr. M. Lekshmanaswamy, Principal i/c delivered the welcome address followed by felicitations offered by Dr,V. Chinnusamy, Chief Executive Officer and    Dr. V. Balasubramaniam, Dean Academics. Swami Harivarananda Mahraj delivered a talk on human values and insisted truth is the highest value everyone should follow for leading a harmonious life. On subsequent days various activities and talks were conducted throughout the programme. On 26/06/2019 to conclude by lecture on stress management was delivered by Mrs. Chellam Narendiran, HR consultant and behavioural coach, Srijan consulting services, Coimbatore. A total of 1400 students participated in the programme were benefitted. SIP Coordinator Dr.R.Thirugnanasampandan, Assistant Professor of Botany proposed the vote of thanks. Finally the programme came to an end with national anthem.
