Dr. S. Logaswamy, Associate Professor in Zoology, assumed the office of the controller of Examinations on 21-07-2009. He started his career in 1987 as Lecturer in Zoology and was promoted as Reader in Zoology in Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.
He hails from Molagoundampalayam near Engur, Erode District and had his schooling at Engur and completed his under graduation at Erode Arts College, Erode. He had his post graduation and MPhil from Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. Further, he involved himself in research and obtained his PhD from Bharathiyar University.
His areas of specialization are Pollution Biology and Environmental Toxiology. So far he has published 16 research papers in National journals and 13 papers in International journals. He has participated in more than 30 State level and National level seminars and conferences.
He has keen interest in writing articles and published 9 articles in various Tamil magazines. He has successfully guided 8 MPhil scholars and currently 2 scholars are pursuing their PhD programme under his guidance.
He has served as a NSS Programme officer, Secretary of Alumni Association, Member of Board of studies, External examiner and has been a member of various Academic Committees. He has acted as an Additional Chief Superintendent and conducted examinations of Bharathiyar University at Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.
He has also enthusiastically served as a University Representative of Bharathiyar University conducting Examinations in many colleges, since 1987.
